A Ukrainian sniper and a special operations soldier from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) successfully hit a Russian soldier at a distance of 3,800 meters (2.36 miles), setting a new world record for a successful sniper shot.
To prove this extraordinary feat, a video was released, clearly showing the precise hit on the Russian soldiers and instilling terror among the nearby invaders.
“The SBU snipers are rewriting the rules of global sniping, demonstrating unmatched skills to operate effectively at significant distances,” says an official statement.
This record shot was executed by an expert using the Ukrainian-made multi-caliber anti-material precision rifle called Horizon’s Lord (Volodar Obriyu).
The ammunition used in this rifle is a newly developed .50 caliber known as 12.7x114HL, with a 14.5x114mm cartridge.
The previous record was 3,540 meters.
